Thanks to the frigid cold of the Wisconsin winters, James Trane, an immigrant of Norway, decided to invent a low-pressure heating system.  With the help of his son, Reuben, a mechanical engineer, the pair started The Trane Company in 1913, making the first trane furnace.  In 1923, Reuben invented the convector radiator to improve the trane furnace and history was made.
